How far in advance can I reserve a bouncer?

The earlier the better. Our bouncers are booked first come first served; we require a 50% deposit at time of reservation. Deposits are refundable only due to weather-related cancellations within 3 days of the event and at Leap’n Lizards’s discretion (see below for bad weather details). Balance of invoice is due prior to delivery of unit.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Leap’n Lizards carries a liability insurance policy and is current with the Kentucky Department of Amusement Inspections.

What is the best location for set-up?

The best place for set-up would be a level grassy area. All bouncers are anchored down.  If you need to set up on concrete, pavement, or otherwise can’t be staked please let us know so we can load enough sandbags for your event. Make sure there are no underground irrigation pipes and/or buried telephone cable lines close to the perimeter of the bouncer site. You may call Kentucky811 to locate lines free of charge.  Please allow 2-10 days for Kentucky811 to locate lines.  Please do not run sprinklers or mow lawn the same day in the set-up area. Please make sure the set-up area is clear of any objects, waste, or debris including and especially dog poop before we arrive. It is the customer’s responsibility to clean the area including paths prior to set-up. Bouncers must be at least 30 feet away from swimming pools or other bodies of water for safety reasons.

What about bad weather?

It is not safe to operate inflatables in winds higher than 15-20 mph (depending on the unit), any type of storm or rain, and in cold conditions of less than 40 degrees.  We will monitor the weather conditions the day of your event.  If severe enough for us to cancel, we will give you the option of rescheduling at a later date.   

As stated above, we offer refunds or rescheduling in the event of bad weather. Refunds are provided at our discretion – an example of a denied request was a cancellation 12 days ahead of time due to a small chance of rain. We have honored all reasonable cancellations in the past. There are absolutely no refunds, pro-rating, or other reductions or considerations for rentals once we have arrived for setup.

How much room is needed?

Each inflatable varies in size.  The dimensions of the bouncers are found on the individual inflatable’s web page.  Bouncers may be setup indoors too.  Make sure that there is enough ceiling height for the units to properly clear all lighting, ductwork, and support systems.  If you have questions please call us at (859) 918-6327 or fill out our contact form.

Can I pick up the rentals directly?

No.  Kentucky regulations require that our company set up and inspect all units.  Your children’s safety is our top priority.  If we will not be supervising your event we will give instructions and training to the supervising adult.  We offer supervision of events at a rate of $45.00 per hour per attendant.

How long can I have the bouncer?

Our standard rental price allows for up to six scheduled hours. This does not including delivery and pick-up – pickup will be completed prior to your event start time, and pickup will begin after your scheduled event end time. Deliveries are completed prior to scheduled start times for waterslides (typically 15-30 minutes), dunk tanks (at least 90 minutes), and tables and chairs (varies depending on quantity ordered).

We will do our best to deliver and pickup at times that work for both parties, however for all weekend and holiday events, deliveries may begin as early as 7am regardless of your scheduled start time, and may be delivered the prior evening when arranged and agreed upon ahead of time. The person named on the reservation, or a prior named adult representative, must be present at setup. The time we are setup prior to your start time is free and does not change your scheduled start time. The time after your event is scheduled to end and prior to our pickup is free, with the exception of any waterslide or wet inflatable on the following day. All waterslide and wet inflatables that are picked up the following day must be turned that morning to dry out.

What if I want my party at a park?

No problem! Many parks require that you have a reservation in order to have a bouncer or other equipment set up. Some even require a deposit. Please call and check with the park.  Almost all require us to furnish them with a copy of our insurance, naming them as additional insured. This can all be done. (An additional fee would apply). Please allow us at least one week notice. We also carry generators if your park does not have electricity for you (An additional fee would apply). Many past experiences give us reason to encourage you to check with the parks or inspect for yourself that shelter power is on and working prior to your event. Parks staff are often very difficult to reach and/or very busy on a weekend morning.

We require a minimum window for delivery of 2 hours and pickup of 2 hours for park events. That means you will need to be onsite to receive delivery and wait for pickup up to 2 hours on each side of your scheduled time. We do our best to minimize wait times on your end and will let you know our route schedule and if you can expect a smaller window for either time, but we have a lot of ground to cover each weekend and many variables that can speed up or slow down our routes. We regularly get calls from our park events saying the event ended early and we can get the inflatable – we can almost never accommodate these schedule changes on a weekend so please keep this in mind when scheduling your park event start/end times.

What forms of payments do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master Card, Discovery, American Express, checks and cash. Full payment is due prior to set-up. 

What is your delivery charge?

Our delivery fees start at $50 and go up to $70 for the furthest reaches of Boone, Kenton, or Campbell counties – check our Delivery Fees for detailed information. Outside of these three counties, contact us for availability and a quote.

What kind of power is required?

All of our bouncers plug into a standard 110 volt outlet. A grounded 3- prong outlet must be used no farther than 100ft away. We have generators available for rental if needed. Generators are $95.00. ** The Fun Center, Shark Sighted, Bengals, Obstacle, Mega Monster courses, and two-piece Radical Run setups need two blowers for operation.**

Are there any other fees or charges that may apply?

Over time we’ve found certain institutions require onerous amounts of paperwork to become a vendor. We understand the institutional need for this, but our time is not free. For small orders, a paperwork compliance fee may apply. For larger orders, this fee may be waived depending on the volume of paperwork required.

Payment is expected upon delivery. Any delay or terms (i.e. 30 days) will result in an increased rate above the quoted rate. As of April 2024, this fee is 3% for terms of 1-30 days, 9% for terms of 31-90 days.
